WELCOME TO OUR WEBSITE ON PROPOSALS FOR THE RESTORATION AND REFURBISHMENT OF 17-22 SOUTH AUDLEY STREET

Cain International will shortly be submitting a planning application for the restoration and refurbishment of 17-22 South Audley Street, currently occupied by Thomas Goode.

The Grade II* listed building is located on the east side of South Audley Street, between Chapel Place and South Street, and bounded to the east with Mount Street Gardens.

Thomas Goode has decided to leave 17-22 South Audley Street, requiring Cain International to secure new suitable use tenants to ensure continuity of use for the building and to prevent decay to the building that would arise from vacancy.

Cain International is seeking alternative appropriate uses for some elements of the building, continuing the retail use but also adding a small restaurant at ground floor with serviced apartments above. There is also an opportunity to improve public realm in Chapel Place and possibly create new access into Mount Street Gardens. The highly esteemed Michael Blair has been appointed as architect, who is committed to carefully refurbishing and enhancing the quality of the listed building.

A public exhibition has already been held for neighbours to view the proposals. The boards displayed at the exhibition have been updated to reflect subsequent revisions implemented in response to the planning consultation. The boards can be downloaded here.
